He's a Brick. House.

From one superstar athelete to another. Last night, after hanging out with Tony and a friend of his at Matt and Sharon's house, I went to the gym. Who was working out there? Shaquille O'Neal. Dude is big. Like a big slab of human. No, I didn't talk to him, but I did sneak peeks around the gym, watching the other people cast furtive glances his way. Sort've funny.

Not much else going on with me. Work has been slow. The new television season has been a bit of a disappointment. Well, see, none of the returning shows that I watch (Alias, Everwood, Gilmore Girls, Angel, West Wing) has been up to par with their previous seasons, or else the annoying quirks that I could overlook before now really grate on me; while the new shows that I thought looked promising or had good buzz (Lyon's Den, I'm With Her, Karen Sisco, Joan of Arcadia, The Handler) haven't jumped out and throttled me like Everwood did last year. And pretty soon I'm going to have to deal with the scheduling fiasco that is Wednesdays at 9 PM, when The O.C. will be airing on Fox, opposite Angel on the WB and The West Wing on NBC (although I've already decided to stop watching TWW because there's no more Aaron Sorkin writing it).

But Holy cow, the baseball playoffs have been craploads of fun, haven't they? So many extra-inning affairs, leads constantly switching back and forth, fascinating stories being created every day...like most people, I'm rooting for a Cubs/Red Sox finale. Go Sox!
