Potpourri
I took a sandwich bag, poured some potpourri leaves into it, tied a ribbon through it, and hung it from the rear-view mirror in my car. And now my car smells extra-special nice all the time. ********** I was remiss in forgetting to wish Margaret and Matt happy birthdays this month. Old in experience, young at heart, I love these two. Thanks for making my life so comfortable in L.A. ********** Soph might be coming out to stay with me for a week after our New Year's family get-together in Vegas! Who's an excited pumpkin? It's me, it's me. ********** World of Warcraft is sucking my soul away. I have hopes that Tony and Eddie will soon join me, Nick, and Mark in never leaving our computers at night and during the weekends. ********** I have a Costco card now through work (since I will do all the buying for our show, I got it in my name hee hee hee). I bought enough foodstuffs to last me a month or two or five. It's awesome. I have a new favorite cereal: Total with strawberries. And I have the bulk box to prove it. ********** I took in the weekly residency at Room 5 featuring Adrianne, Gabriel Mann, Jay Nash, and Garrison Starr last night. Sandwiched in between two sets of in-the-round performances by that quartet was a set by East Coaster Edie Carey who was quite lovely. But, you know, for the second time in a row, with no soundman manning the board (Jay sorta runs the music events there and was trying to handle sound duties while also running up to the stage when it was his turn), I had to step up to the plate and fill in as the engineer. What's the deal with that? It was nice to see Kyler there, though, and she joined Adrianne for a duet. *********** In other music news, good ol' Sylvie Lewis got one of her songs, "By Heart" played on the ultra-influential "Morning Becomes Eclectic" show on Santa Monica's radio station KCRW this morning. Way to go, girl! *********** I'm working on my year-end best of lists and a wrap up of what's gone past. Anyone want to contribue anything here? Drop me an email, or sign the guestbook, or something. I never hear back from you guys. It makes me feel very sad. Soph, Ros, and Y are the only ones who comment on stuff. And sometimes Matt. *********** Now Listening To: Happy Rhodes - Many Worlds Are Born Tonight
