Phil and Jen, Sitting in a Tree...

I've been dying to tell you this for about a month now. Big news. Bigger than my sister buying a house (and they've moved all their stuff there, by the way, but aren't actually living there because the clutter is so bad, and the kitchen isn't finished). It's huge.

Phil and Jen will be making me an uncle in 5 to 6 months. The first of the next generation in my immediate family. Soooooooo stoked, it's beyond cute, it's beyond fantastic, it's even beyond cute-tastic. The pregnancy has thrown a kink into our holiday plans, as they are wary of traveling to Arizona for our planned Christmas/New Years family get-together. Add in Soph's need to stick around Boston for her new teaching gig and the home upkeep, and we've decided to not have Christmas as a family. Instead, we're planning on meeting up in Boston in February (because we all know that the best time to visit Boston is in February). And you just know that we'll all be there in April when the baby comes. And I'll have a reason to schedule regular trips back east to play with him or her.

Ahhhh....this makes me so much the very happy.
