Two Weeks Notice

I'm looking for a new job. Some of you may have heard about this. Others of you haven't. Honestly, if you haven't flat-out called me on the phone and prodded me for answers as to what is going on in my life, then you probably have no idea what I've been up to. Profuse apologies all around for my incognito-ness.

So, I'm looking for a new job. I'm not exactly being fired from this one, it's just, well, it's time to move on. My producer and I agreed on this. We'd been hoping that the thing at Technicolor would come through, but it fell apart instead, leaving me in a bit of a lurchy state. Instead of sitting back, taking defeat in the ass, and staying on this show, we concluded that I have done what I can here. I've outlived my stay and am just collecting moss like so many unrolling stones. Thus, at the end of this month, I shall roll on to other perhaps better opportunities.

I've been emailing friends, sending out resumes, hoping for contacts. Video game developers, tv shows, films, sound studios, anything. I did receive a few calls about short-term work that I turned down because they were short-term. And I've had a few leads that didn't quite pan out. But I'm hopeful. I have hope. And a little money to tide me over for a while. And some hope.

Sweet jeebus, I need a job!

I think that, aside from the fact that I seem to every so often hurt her feelings with my stupidly snarky mouth (i need to learn that not everyone is as hardened as you, my fine readers, when it comes to the trading of mock condescension and loving insults), we are pretty close to saying that I have a girlfriend. Just gotta refrain from sticking my foot in my food hole.
