March 21, 2006 - 12:25 PM Cute Dogs, Cute Cats I think Y was the first one to send me the link to Cuteoverload.com, but since then, I've been pointed to it by several friends. If you go ahead and click on the link today, scroll down to the bottom. You will not stop smiling for 5 minutes. And, if you happen to visit it tomorrow or later, you might have to click on this link to see the picture. I passed along the link to my cousin Ros a few weeks ago as we were IMing (she was taking a break from her studies as she nears the completion of her grad degree), and she told me to give it to her sister Carol because she would take much joy from it. I believe Ros's exact words were "You have to show this to Carol, she'll totally wet herself." I also showed it to one of my coworkers and she loved it. I showed it to the other P.A., and he said "Paul, you are so gay", so I hissed at him and then laid a bitchslap across his face. Mrwowr. Actually, the other P.A. is gay, so it wasn't a homophobic comment. He was just funning. We like to say to each other "I am going to kill you until you are dead" in a menacing sotto voce. Other times, we just start singing songs from musicals and operas for no reason (chicks and geese and ducks better scurry...). Wait a minute...maybe I am so gay. I have been asked in total seriousness a few times in my life if I'm gay. What does that mean? If only I didn't like girls so much. Dude, the strangest one was when my mom was talking to me about "finding the right person". We were on a long drive, and she started going on about waiting for the right someone and how she was sure that I would find that special person, which isn't an unusual talk to have with your mom. But it does get slightly comically absurd when she plays the non-gender specific game and never ever refers to that someone as being a girl, a woman, or a female. Never saying "she", but instead saying "it", as in, "you'll find that someone, whoever it is." And I'm pretty sure that my mom has a firm enough grasp of the English language that she knew what she was saying. Maybe one day in the future, I'll ask her about it, and we'll have a good laugh.
