Awww Yeah, it's back!

Hoooleeee sheee-it! (said in my best "Reese Witherspoon as Vanessa Lutz in Freeway" voice)

Why am I in such an exclamatory mood? So full of unmitigated joy, rolling in my own ecstasy? Four words.

Joe. Boxer. Is. Back.

You know what I'm talking about, right? The K-Mart commercials for a line of clothes called Joe Boxer that features an athletic black dude in just boxers dancing to an upbeat, 60's-ish cocktail-lounge-samba tune. In the first commercial that aired last year, it was just him doing his dance. Then they had a second one where he danced a little and a bunch of other people modeled the other clothes in the line. Now, there's a new "Back to School" commercial where he's dancing, joined by a troupe of fully clothed dancers doing choreographed moves. You only get a taste of his unique dance though.

Ahhh, that dance...how to describe it? Like a manic bunny on speed...hipping and a hopping, bliss spread across his face, arms tightly pumping. It's a mod cousin of the Snoopy Dance.

How can I get such joy from just a 15 or 30 second advertisement? *shrug*

Long live Joe Boxer.
