Birfday

Thanks to all y'all what wished me happy condolences on my birthy-day last Sunday. One step away from 30 I am now. One treacherous, tremulous, tumultuous step. And for those who wanted to know what craziness occurred on my birthday, let me tell you: my mom and dad made their ritual "too early in the morning" call to sing me "Happy Birthday", then told me to go back to sleep; I woke up for good around 11:30 and waited until 1 for the cable guy to come and install my new digital cable box; did the laundry; had dinner with Liz at Gyu Kaku (last year for my birthday, i went out with LDBL and Mer to Gyu Kaku...seems like a new tradition is brewing); and finished things off by watching Zathura at Liz's.

Tonight, the cousins are taking me out to Lawry's for steaky-steaks. I like beef. We'll see if they like Liz after a second go-round with her.

Liz enjoyed the company of one of my former co-workers, Ryan, at the season premiere party last night. Otherwise, she was overwhelmed by all the people that showed up. And all three of us were agog at the topless waiters (so oily) and waitresses (...). It was very nice to be able to see the people with whom I liked working on the show, but in hearing stories about how the past month has been going, I'm glad that I left. Apparently, the guy who replaced me is incompetent and clueless and everyone is sad that I'm gone. Ha.

The best part was introducing Liz to everyone and them all being extremely happy for me. Huzzah for girlfriends.

Oh, I totally forgot to tell you, but a bunch of you called me on my birthday or sent me cards/ecards, which was nice. But I also got a totally unexpected, out-of-the-blue call from my old high school crush, Katie. A welcome surprise. When the caller ID popped up, I was throw off guard, so I answered the phone "What the hell?" And she asked "why do you always answer the phone that way whenever I call?"

Well, it's probably because you contact me once every three years or something, little miss Katie. :)

Mark, Y, expect her to contact you in the near extended future since she's now in D.C. at law school.

It's not that I'm leading a boring life, it's just that I'm boring. That's why I've been lax in updating. Sorry.
