A Conversation With Myself

Happy birthday, me.

Why thank you. How are you doing today?

Not bad. Went out with the post-production assistant to pick up 40+ cases of free beer for work. Unfortunately, everyone who had the key to the room where the beer was kept was out to lunch, which meant that me and he rented a van and drove 40 minutes across town for nothing. But at least it meant that we didn't have to lug 40+ cases of beer up and down stairs all afternoon.

What was the beer for? Your birthday?

Yes. Yes it was. We were going to drink all the beers for my birthday. Idiot.

Whoah, hold on there. No need to get snippy with me, mister.

Whatever. No, the beer is for the wrap/premiere party we're having at the end of this month. I guess we were just going to store it here at the workplace for 27 days. Yeah, who wants some 30 day old, not refrigerated, low carb or mexican beer? Me!

Can I come to the party?

No. You're not invited. You're too ugly.

You suck.

What are you doing for your birthday?

Leaving work early, heading over to Nick/LDBL's, and then we're all going to Dodger Stadium to see if the Dodgers can hold off Barry Bonds and the Giants so that they can clinch the NL West title.

Yep. And I had dinner with Tony and Effervescence Incarnate last night. Tonkatsu pork, kimchi, rice, and chigae. E.I. is a very good cook. Thanks for the splendid korean meal!
